A great way to end a weekend of fun

Monday was our last day of "fun time", so Joel convinced me to go hiking to find a very rare geocache called the "project ape cache". The main kicker is that the hike is a little over six miles round trip and the bulk of that is in an old train tunnel. Now I have had my share of days walking through old train tunnels in Idaho, but this one was NUTS! It was TWO MILES LONG and you could see the beginning and end of it while walking through. It was fun, but not my favorite. Once we got to the other side, it was only a short period until we had to go back through the tunnel to get to the car. It was Crazy!!

(This was the beginning of our six mile hike)

(If you look closely, you can see a little dot of light behind my head, that is the end of the tunnel)

(The end of the tunnel!!)

(The geocache was hidden in that log)

Tuesday and Wednesday we were still in Washington, but we stayed in a hotel while Joel worked at the Northwest Headquarters for State Farm. (and yes, I was bored most of the time)

How cool to find a project A.P.E. cache! Someday I will make it to 100! (and you guys are almost to 700!)
