Yet Another Monday for Yah...

Today was one of those days where I wanted to just stay home and lay on the couch watching the TLC channel all day, but Joel had other plans. Now normally I go to work Mondays and Joel takes a day off to prepare for his four tens that he works Tuesday thru Friday, however today I didn't have to go into work because I had a job interview on campus for different position than what I am doing now...(FYI - the interview went well)....So there I was, enjoying the comfort of my nice old couch when Joel comes begging to get out of the house because of "boredom"....

Pishaw, doesn't the guy know that sometimes the wife just needs a day off?

Apparently today wasn't my day off....after about an hour of trying to decide what we should do, we finally agreed to make a picnic lunch and go to a park they just opened by the river. We loaded the family (me, joel and logan) into the car and away we went. It was good to get out of the house, but I couldn't help but reflect on the shows I wanted to watch but wasn't able to...sigh....ANYWAY, we walked around, ate lunch and then drove across the street to Joel's uncles and played a little Bocci in their front yard. Oh the Joy we had today....I feel kind of bad because we had originally planned to take a day trip to the coast, but Logan had a job interview that prevented us from doing the trip without risking him missing it......maybe next time...sorry Joel! :(
