Rosco & Anastasia
Joel has had this dream of getting a turtle or tortoise since as long as I can remember. We are usually looking, but never very seriously because it can be pretty expensive to get all the supplies you need up front. I look weekly for listings on criagslist, but have never found anything that is worth exploring until Thursday. I couldn't believe the deal I had stumbled upon....two turtles and MORE THAN EVERYTHING you need to keep them safe and healthy for only $100. WOW...seriously...WOW. The set up came with a 30 gallon tank and a stand that fits it perfectly, all the lights, food, extra toys, a playpen fence to put up when we want to take them outside, and a 10 gallon tank to use when cleaning and feeding. Seriously people, we got a steal of a deal! It was so much fun being able to see how they adapted to the water and what not. This is probably an assanine amount of pictures for turtles, but if you didn't know, I am a picture-aholic and will capture any new moment or excitement as often as possible. I look forward to more photo shoots with our newest additions in the future!
Oh and if you didn't catch it with their names, Rosco (short for Rosco P. Coltrane) and Anastasia are a couple, male and female! We are going to research the proper terrain for them in the upcoming weeks so that we can try to get baby turtles! How exciting! Congratulations Rana and D'On, you now have two new "grand-turtles"!

NO!
they're so cute!!!
i love the pictures!
i want you guys to have baby turtles... i mean, i want your turtles to have baby turtles...
I'm kinda surprised their names didn't end up being Cuff and Link...maybe for the babies? :-)
I had to google Roscoe P. Coltrane to find out who it was. The name rang a bell, but I had no idea where it was from.
They don't bite. They are fun to hold, although at times Anastasia hisses...which is darn cute.
We hope that they have babies...that would be so cute...but in order to do that, we will have to do some serious planning...but hopefully it will happen!
We can never have too many pictures of Roscoe and Anastasia! How fabulous! I wish I could live in your aquarium. Looks like a totally happening place. Congrats to Joel on living the dream.
Cute! I used to have turtles. I love them. :o) Mine LOVED to eat worms so I would go out at night (after rain is best) and catch a jar full of worms. Now that's love, if I do say so myself. Haha.
