Tulip Festival Trip....

You know it has been a crazy week when you are a week behind on your postings!! Sorry about that! Last weekend we were able to have the most amazing time spending the day with two of our most favorite people, Elianna and Kenzi. Their parents went to a book sale a few hours away and asked us if we would be willing to take their kids for a day. It was one of the most funnest days ever! The morning started bright and early as we went over to their house while they were sleeping. Being super tired ourselves, we took the opportunity to finish our night slumber. As soon as Joel's body hit the couch, he was out....I have had pretty bad back and neck pain lately, so although I tried to make a bed on the other couch in the living area, I was unable to sleep. I wondered into the master bedroom and laid down. Not too long after, little Kenzie woke up sad. I went and brought her into the bedroom and let her lay next to me. We both fell asleep quickly. A few hours later we were up and ready to get on with our day. As the afternoon rolled on, we piled into the car and drove to the tulip fields. Usually they are very very beautiful and vibrant. However this year, due to poor weather, the fields pretty much sucked! We waited in a line of cars for over an hour to park and soon found ourselves wondering around like a cute little faimly. At one point, we were very thirsty and wondered into a tent that was giving away free water. The gentleman manning the booth turned to Joel and said, "Hey dad, why don't you grab a bag of these flowers and plant them with your girls?!" It was pretty bitter sweet. I can't wait for the day we are able to claim children as our own! Turns out, I spoil everyone we babysit because I can't get enough pictures of them doing the cutest things. Below are just a few of the shots I took of our adventure with the girls. Oh and Kimber, I promise I will send you all the pictures soon! (Happy Face)
