Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!!

One year older and wiser too! At least that is was I was taught in church years ago...well, today is my birthday. Oh the joy, oh the rapture! It is kind of a bummer having your birthday on Mother's Day because it just doesn't feel right to celebrate me, when I should be focusing on my amazing mother....

so yesterday we hosted a crazy cool party and tried to invite everyone we could think of that would enjoy playing around and socializing...like all events of this nature, we probably missed some people and if you were one of them, I am sorry.

I had a great time getting things together to have a fun evening. The weather wasn't great, but at least it didn't rain. On Thursday, Joel and I had an adult only dinner at Kyoto (a Japanese restaurant very similar to Benihannas). There were four couples all together and we had a fun time, well at least I did...i can't exactly speak for anyone other than me.

Like all typical birthdays for me lately, i had no idea what gifts to request and ended up going to target last minute to pick some things out so that Joel didn't feel like I was setting him up for failure. So, I got four shirts, one new pair of shoes, smell good carpet cleaner, new sheets for the bed and three hair bands. Wow, what a great gift huh? I know, lame...but everything I wanted we either couldn't afford, or I couldn't request it because I didn't know how to get it...(aka Scentsy) Oh well, maybe next year.

A huge shout out and thank you to Angela, who was the first official person to call and wish me a happy birthday this morning....as well as my aunt Marsha, who was just seconds behind Angela's call. THANK YOU!!

Oh, and one more quick thing, I want to wish Jesse and Patrick a super duper happy birthday! (we all share the same day, special...i know!)
