Navy Pier

After we took the Chicago Architecture Boat Tour, we wondered down to the Navy Pier. We went on Wednesday because they host a firework shows Wednesday and Saturday nights in the summer. There was a lot of people there because the Red Carpet Preimer was happening for the new Batman Movie (which I would like to add was REALLY GOOD!!).

We also have the famous Chicago dog for dinner that night...YUMM!

We had a fun time dancing to the live band, visiting all the little stores, and crashing a party to get this great view of the city. (ok, about the party crashing, I noticed people on the roof of a high building and I knew that if we could get up there with them, that we would have great shots of the city and fireworks. So we found the elevator and went up. Turns out that there was an actual business party going on and everyone was dressed in nice cocktail dresses and ties...needless to say, when Cristina and I walked in with shorts and t-shirts we were a little out of place. :) So we walked over to the corner where the best view would be found and just watched people for a good half hour or so. No one noticed us, no one really cared. In fact, Cristina went and got some drinks for the wet bar that was up there....that was cool, I got a pepsi without having to do any work! Needless to say, it was amazing and so much fun!)

Okay, that is hilarious that you crashed a business party. So funny - you crack me up. :o)

You're a brave soul, Lila. I would have been paranoid that they would call security to haul me out of there. LOL

P.S. my verification code is ofgpdmho. Why the HECKfire do they have to be so long?????
