Tribune Tower Facade

This is an interesting discovery I was able to make thanks to the geocaching website (it was a virtual cache)...

The Tribune Tower is known for it amazing architeture and location in Chicago. It currently houses a radio station and some other businesses. On the outside of the building, surrounding the base of the south and west walls, there is a collection of different rocks and stones that are embedded in the surface. I didn't get a picture of all the rocks, but just the ones that I had time to quickly capture. If you ever make it to Chicago, this is an interesting site to see!

So like these must have been placed after the fact and are still being gathered and placed???? The revolutionary battlefield was a cannon ball???? And the New Jersey Washington crossing must have been the exact location where his foot alighted from the ship?????? I was partial to the Reims Cathedral piece as I was baptized in Reims France. But what are they doing taking pieces out of it?????
