Falling in love with Iris....

Turns out that I might be falling in love with the Iris. I have always thought that they were pretty ugly flowers...until yesterday, when I was able to capture them with my camera. I have to admit, I think that these pictures are amazing...I never knew an ugly Iris could look this good! Joel made a quick phone call to his dear sweet grandmother while we were at this garden because her name is Iris and the iris flower happens to be her favorite flower. I think it is sweet that Joel thought to call his grandmother and share with her some of her joys. Turns out, that my grandmother also loved the iris flower when she was living here on earth with us. I never knew that until my aunt Marsha was expressing the beauty of the iris flowers in my mom's yard. I will always look at the iris a little more differently from this point on.....
