I apologize for the lack of posting the last few days, but if I am not up with the little guy then I am probably sleeping. Turns out that my body realizes that it needs sleep and so I shut down to rest every chance I get. hahaha
Well, today marks two weeks since we have had our sweet baby boy! The time has flown, and I am still amazed that we were blessed with this miracle.
Last week my ward held a baby shower and it was wonderful. I felt weird being the center of attention, but Calvin got a lot of fun new things...THANK YOU EVERYONE!!
Also, on Sunday we had our first visit with Cassandra and her family. It was so much fun! I was a little nervous at first, but then once we were greeted all my nerves went away and it turned out to be one of the funnest nights I have had for a while! It was like we were family visiting and reminising about times of old by telling stories that started with "so there I was"....really, it was a lot of fun! We are so blessed to have an amazing connection with Cassandra and her family! Hopefully next month we will be able to find a time for Cassandra to come down here and meet our families. That will be a lot of fun!
Calvin is experiencing a serious growth spert right now....he has gotten so big! He eat about 4oz each feeding (which is 2-3-4 hours apart). He is a monster! I think I will have to put him in 3 month clothes soon because he is so tall that the newborn outfits don't really stretch enough for his body length. I am working on ways to prepare to talk to my son who will tower over me, probably by age eight (since I am a tiny little thing) hahaha
In other news, Calvin's nursery is almost done! We have a new crib that nanna and pappa bought for us, that matched the changing table...however we are going to wait to set it up until our company leaves so that we have more room to house them. We are going to move our computer into our bedroom and still need to buy a few more things for a complete nursery set, but once it is done, it is going to be so awesome! His theme is automobiles, since we have a large collection of license plates...TOTALLY CUTE!
This week is going to be pretty packed! Joel's brothers and their family are coming to visit us and should arrive tonight sometime. They will be here through Saturday....we are planning to go hiking at SilverFalls, go to the beach and enjoy the ocean and probably just hang out...then we will leave Saturday morning to head to Boise for a few days to introduce our new bundle to Joel's family members over there...hopefully the traveling will be okay...I am still not sure how it will work, but all will be well!

Love the little rocking car thing. I wish I had one!
I am SO jealous of the truck rocker! I have wanted one forever but now the boys are getting too old for it.
I didn't mean to send just that - haha. I got distracted. Anywho, happy baby shower, you got some awesome stuff!
The picture of you and baby Calvin asleep in the beanbag has got to be my favorite so far! It is precious!
